Mr. Obama’s full comments about Mr. Karski:
“For years, Jan Karski’s students at Georgetown University knew he was a great professor; what they didn’t realize was he was also a hero. Fluent in four languages, possessed of a photographic memory, Jan served as a courier for the Polish resistance during the darkest days of World War II. Before one trip across enemy lines, resistance fighters told him that Jews were being murdered on a massive scale, and smuggled him into the Warsaw Ghetto and a Polish death camp to see for himself. Jan took that information to President Franklin Roosevelt, giving one of the first accounts of the Holocaust and imploring to the world to take action. It was decades before Jan was ready to tell his story. By then, he said, `I don’t need courage anymore. So I teach compassion.’”
He referred to Mr. Karski’s smuggling into a “Polish death camp” to see for himself that Jews were being murdered “on a massive scale.” The camps were run by the Nazis, and the Poles take great issue with statements that appear to blame them for Nazi crimes.
Poles Demand Obama Apology For “Polish Death Camps” Comment

“Ignorance and Incompetence” as perfectly stated by the Polish Foreign Minister is the only way to express Obama’s statement. Obama showed an incredible ignorance, once again it portrays Obama simply panders for votes and does not give a damn about anything else. Every Pole should remember this insult along with Obama not attending the state funeral of her President. Indeed, news casts and photos show him playing golf on that day. Add to that it took him three days to finally sign a book of condolence at the Polish Embassy.
There will be those that say… oh big deal.. Obama simply misspoke. Understand this… The Presidential Medal of Freedom is the highest civilian honor a president can bestow, Obama’s ignorance and clear lack of care to even read or understand what Jan Karski went through to achieve this honor is simply APPALLING, and proves once again OBAMA is an amateur and incompetent to be President of the United States. In this regard, Bill Clinton is right.
